081024 - The day with Cult of Luna & new layout on its way
Hello. Last Sunday I got the chance to hang out with Cult of Luna for a whole day. In the morning they recorded some songs (including a cover of Joy Division's "Twentyfour hours") for a Swedish national radio channel called P3. After that we went to the venue (which was a big theatre) and the band had a soundcheck, and then the gig started. Due to the fact that my Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 broke in July, I nowadays only can rely on my Nikon 50mm f/1.8, which is very difficult. However, I also shot with an analogue Pentax camera, which I borrowed from school together with a Sigma 28-105mm f/2.8. I shot about 1 ˝ rolls of film (do you say so?) I'll have to develop the photos when I have the time.

Right now I'm planning to make this into a MUCH more goodlooking site. I'm thinking of doing the whole site completely in Flash. However, check out the live-photos from Cult of Luna, aswell as the photos from the session they did for the radio channel (and photos from their soundcheck). Those can be found under Other in the menu. I didn't know where to put them.

080929 - New promotional photos
I shot promotional photos of Convoj, an indie-rockband from Gothenburg with members from Cult of Luna and EF, two of my favourite bands, two weeks ago. The result turned out to quite good for a first-time session. And some days ago I shot some photos of my own electro/house-act called 100kr (kr is the swedish currency). The result didn't turn out that good, since we only did the shooting for about 20 minutes and since the pictures were shot with a self timer. I think the I got a nice (fake) HDR-touch to the photo though. However, better luck next time as you say.

And yeah, I was planning to go on tour with Cult of Luna for their four gigs in Sweden in mid-October. I was planning this as my exam-project, but my teacher wouldn't let me go. I got really dissapointed, but when I shot Convoj (in which Anders from Cult of Luna plays the guitar) we talked about me coming to Gothenburg, and to hang out with them all day long, and shoot both random photos when they'll be doing this thing called "P3 Live Session", aswell during the gig. Hopefully this will turn out great. You'll probably notice if I have been there or not in the end of October.

080810 - Way Out West finished!
This was the 2nd edition of Way Out West, a great festival held in Gothenburgs biggest park, Slottsskogen. Last year it was very bad arranged for the photographers and writers, the presscenter was horrible (a little tent with no walls and wet grass being the "floor", the tent fitted about 8 people and 2 big tables with laptops on - there was a big problem though: there were about 35 people from different magazines etc) and the photovests were horrible aswell. We were about 25 photographers, and there were only 15 photovests, sometimes you had to stand in line to get a photovest for up to 1 hour, since it was the first 15 photographers that got in time to the concerts that got their hands on the vests.

But! For this year I don't have anything to complain about. Now the presscenter was a huge house placed right next to a pond. This presscenter is the best I've ever been to. And the festival itself is the best I've ever been to (there were no photovests this year for example, and the line-up was much better...) Sigur Rós nearly made me cry, and they are so far the best liveband I've ever seen (and I've seen nearly over 300 concerts). Now take a look at my photos!

080722 - New camera!
Finally I have bought a Nikon D300 and I'm shooting my favourite band Kent this Friday, it will be a blast!

080628 - West Coast Riot - live & interview-photos
This week I attended West Coast Riot, a new punk/hardcore-festival in Gothenburg. I took some photos of Bad Religion-bassist Jay Bentley and Randy's drummer Fredrik Granberg for the interviews DenimZine's Ted Arwidson did with them. Except that I also took live-shots of some bands, and those were: NOFX, The Used, Comeback Kid, Bad Religion, Millencolin, Flogging Molly, Tiger Army, Sista Sekunden, The High Hats, Moderat Likvidation, Neverstore and Randy. Check them out! On Monday I'm going on vacation to Croatia for 2 ˝ weeks, and when I'm back I'll be attending Way Out West. This year's line-up is totally awesome, I'm really looking forward to it!

080531 - New photos
Today I took some photos of Lord Belial-drummer Micke Backelin for his cymbal and drumstick-sponsors: Istanbul Mehmet Cymbals and Artbeat Drumsticks. Check them out under Promotion.

080504 - This Will Destroy You
Yesterday This Will Destroy You came to my town, Trollhättan. I was putting up the the gig, and it was a great evening. The guys and their crew were really nice and friendly. This is also the first time I've taken photos with a flash at a concert. I'm more than sadisfied with the result, I need some more practice though.

080409 - New layout
I've been working on a new layout for some weeks now, it's still very simple, but the gallery is more goodlooking.
